A massive international relief effort is under way to help Haitians stricken by a Jan. 12 earthquake that damaged much of the country's capital of Port-Au-Prince.  

 

The Kit Ministry Team at Messiah Lutheran Church is helping in the effort by collecting and assembling Health Kits.  Health kits contain basic hygiene supplies to help reduce the spread of germs and disease. Our goal is 100 Health Kits.   

 

Health Kit Contents:

 

• One Hand Towel (dark colors preferred)
• One Wash Cloth (dark colors preferred)
• One Comb (wide tooth preferred)
• One Adult Size Toothbrush (in original packaging)
• One Bar Soap (bath size)
• One Nail File or Clippers with File
• Six 3/4” or 1” Plastic Bandages
• One Large Tube of Toothpaste

 

If you would like to help with the effort, please provide the objects listed above to Ronda Gaede or the Church Office.  You can also make a designated offering to “Haiti Health Kits” and the Kit Ministry will purchase the supplies on your behalf.
